I was born in Jamaica 1951. My mother brought me to London in 1963. I attended South Grove Boys School; then, Downhills Comprehensive, which after name changes, is now, Park View Academy in West Green Road.
After leaving School with a Certificate of Secondary Education, I worked as a British Railways Clerk; so did Bernie Grant. He also came to England in 1963. The door was not open for me enter the legal profession until 1970. That is why I joined British Rail.
1970, I entered a solicitor's office, agreed a wage of £9 per week, worked full time as a Solicitor's Clerk, studied part-time and qualified as a solicitor 1980: Paul Boateng's aunt encouraged me to believe that I could think clear and become a solicitor.
Married with children at school, older children and grandchildren, I understand many of the pressures suffered by families; including one parent families. A born again Child of God, I enjoy very much reading, music and media.
