What things in the borough are Haringey Council responsible for?
 

Haringey council is responsible for a huge range of things which affect all of our lives in the borough. These include: crime reduction measures, refuse collection and recycling, youth projects, community centres, roads, schools, social care, noise control, libraries, car parks, parks and open spaces, allotments, community safety schemes, cycle paths, leisure and recreation facilities, litter bins, traffic calming measures, council tax and street lighting.

 
 
Where are meetings of Haringey council held?
 
All full meetings of Haringey Council are held at Haringey’s Civic Centre. Anyone can attend a full council meeting and watch the decisions being made. You can also attend most other meetings of councillors, although the general public are sometimes excluded from parts of meetings if matters of confidentiality are being discussed, or to protect someone’s privacy. You can also see papers relating to decisions and its committees. These are available at the council’s public offices and at local libraries.
